Forum: GratefulDead Subject: After you`ve downloaded your GD youtube videos

Following dr flashback's excellent post on how to download youtube vids, here`s a couple of things you can do with them once they are on your hard drive.

Say you want to listen to the audio of the video away from your pc, well you need this cheeky little freeware program. http://www.aoamedia.com/audioextractor.htm
Once you`ve got this baby you can rip the music from almost any video file you want. Works for dvds aswell (once you`ve ripped `em to your hard drive). So download your favourite dead/jgb vids, extract the audio, burn them to a cd and you can listen in the car. Cool eh.

Or you might want to watch the videos while you`re away. If you get this even cheekier freeware program http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/
you can convert the videos for your iPod. This also works for almost any video file. If you set the quality settings to high you can plug it into a tv at home or in a hotel and watch your fav youtube vids or any others whenever and where ever you want.
Don`t you just love technology?dancing penguin

sweet!!! thanks Nothing Special. don't ya just love the stuff that simply nails it? Just tried it on an avi. Works fine. i love using CD Tag, ZtreeWin, WinAmp, Nero, and now Audioextractor, to listen to stuff and manage my music collection. nice way to go here.

for all you players, anyone wanting to play along, sing along... or fix a tape, or change it 'cause ya just wanna freak out. get the PaceMaker plugin for WinAmp. does realtime tempo/pitch/speed correction. it's also free. goes around, comes around.

Damn, I knew that one too because I asked it two weeks ago, guess I should have stayed home instead of XMAS shopping.

Oh yeah this isn't a game show is it! I wanted to win a Million dollars.
